One of our customers is a Swedish producer of vegetarian foods. During production, the products are transported on a Z-conveyor from freezers to packing. The customer’s old modular belt was replaced with a Habasit Cleandrive™ (model: CD.M50.S-UA.CB), resulting in vastly reduced hygiene maintenance needs. The Cleandrive belt certainly requires cleaning on a regular basis too, but only for one hour at a time, every eight hours. With the weekly production cycle spanning eighty hours, the company saves a minimum of sixteen hours – in addition to major amounts of detergents and similar equipment – on cleaning alone, every week.
